What is the Millionaire game?
Many countries now have a TV show where participants play this game. Like usual, a game played on for example Russian TV gets played everywhere if it is successful. Just like Deal or No Deal, and not just games, even reality shows like Big Brother, called Grande Fratello in Italy for example.
You start the Millionaire game by answering questions, you cannot get one wrong or game is lost. If you get answer correct you start by winning lowest amount of cash, like $100. Second question you win $200, then $400 and so on... up till a Million. You have 30 seconds to answer each question on this online game - on TV, usually you have unlimited time.
You also have three in most cases options to ask for help - Phone someone at home (Call a buddy), remove two wrong answers (1/2) or Audience assistance where audience will answer the question and you will get statistics of the most popular answer.
Online you won't win a penny :) but on TV participants do win real money. Since there's often a lot of participants first they decide who is going to play for tonight.
To do that, they ask them one question common to all - and who responds with right answer and fastest to reply is chosen to play.
I've seen on TV a case where one did win the Million.
The game is fun to play, give it a shot... do not answer too quickly, wrong answer means game lost and you go home with the money (if any) you have won by answering previous questions right (not online though).
