How To Wake Computer From Sleep Mode In Windows Vista
In sleep mode the computer is kind of turned off, with no sound, monitor is turned off… everything is like its off. The first time I send it sleeping I thought I clicked the turn off button by mistake.
That should remind you that to turn it on press the power button on your tower as if you’re going to start the computer on.
So that’s how to turn it back on. It’s not by pressing a key, moving the mouse, etc those are used to get rid of the screensaver.
To send it to sleep press this button (located at Start menu):

Or of course by going to the Start > And click on the arrow like this:
Make use of sleep if you’re going to leave the computer without any use for 30 or more minutes. This is a good vista feature – to save your computer power. Make use of it.
