Eye Exercises To Improve Vision
It’s the second post I am making on this blog about vision health. Especially for those who use the computer for long.
I do recommend Rebuild Your Vision program, which I bought. I want to tell you what I learned from the program. So apart from the eye exercises I got, the manual, the kit, etc which are aimed to improve your vision – I also learned a ton on how to protect my eyes, plus I got the vision defense software. This is a software that every 10 minutes rings a sound on my computer and I have to look at something 10 feet away from my computer for 10 seconds. You do this to avoid stressing your eyes, you’re like giving them a break every 10 minutes.
But on what I’ve learned, not just from the book I got with the program but also from the monthly newsletter via email.
(please don’t take these things as professional tips – this is just a review of what I learned)
The first thing is that eye vision decreases because the eyes get stressed. When you stress your eyes for a long period of time, over and over again… eye sight might decrease there.
So to reduce stress there’s a technique you do with a washcloth, just by laying on the bed with eyes closed and with the washcloth (making it warm) on your eyes. Do that for 5 minutes and your eyes get relaxed.
You can repeat that as many times as you wish every day.
Not just when you’re on the computer but whenever you’re doing something at close distance like reading for example too – then every 10 minutes look for 10 seconds at something 10 feet away.
OK… those are great methods to reduce stress.
From the sun of course caps and sunglasses with ultraviolet protection are required. They go into detail which sunglasses are the best of course I’m just reviewing here.
Vitamins in fruit and vegetables are great for the eyes, so of course they will only do good.
Keep your hands clean, so if you unintentionally rub your eyes you reduce the risk of infection.
Also try not to rub your eyes, they give tutorial on how to remove some objects that enter your eyes safety.
The other curious thing is about glasses and contact lenses. They say limit the time you where them, because they put stress on your eyes if you wear them for a long period of time. It’s like you’re making your eyes lazy – if the eye muscles work it’s better – with glasses and lenses they hardly have to do anything.
If you wear glasses and if you are without them on the street try to focus your eyes on things. This is to make your eyes work and the eye muscles start to regain strength. Of course without putting to much pressure that it hurts. But eye muscles doe to stress we put on them get weak – that’s what the eye exercises do – they strengthen these muscles and that’s how vision improve.
So the quantity of information I still receive and the value I find great and helpful.
