First click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts And Family Safety > User Accounts > Change Your Account Name
Again Vista will ask you to click the Continue or Cancel button then.
In the box now enter a new name and click Change Name. That’s it, you will see the new name on the Start Menu.
Now again you may find that in Control Panel you cannot see the User Accounts And Family Safety and that’s because you have changed the way control panel looks or it just have a different look. But the options are there – they may be in a different manner than how I put them here, but just look out for them… if you cannot find that one – look for the next on: User Accounts
As a side note usually whatever it is you want to do WITH your computer – you do it from the control panel.
If it’s changing sound, remove some program, change colors of computer – or anything else like I said WITH the computer it’s from control panel.
I never suggest though you go and click in Control Panel just to experiment – if you don’t feel comfortable and you really don’t know what you’re doing – then it’s better not to mess with anything. It can do more harm than good.
