Lame title? I know. Spelling errors? Who cares? That was the title of an email I received. This man who will remain anonymous is trying to cheat. Actually he has bought some sort of Download Manager software and wants the serial number. He does not want to pay but get it free.

In fact there is a free download manager that I personally use and many other people. It is a great free software. When my Internet connection was down I used the download manager to download files and install them later off line.

My experience:

I have avast and my Internet Connection lately was bad. I was getting disconnected every couple minutes so I could not download avast updates. Avast is an antivirus software by the way...

Thanks to this download manager I can now download the updates. It pauses every time I get disconnected from the Internet and it resumes download automatically after I get reconnected. This allows download of updates smoothly. Without download manager software, the updates just stopped downloading giving me errors - that I was not connected to the Internet.

So the software is also useful in some cases - keep an eye on it :)
