How Often Should You Run Windows Defender

How Often Should You Run Windows Defender

Some people use Windows Defender as an anti spyware. I recommend NoAdware, as I mentioned in other posts I made. However I still want to help these people. Poor people lol I did hear negative reviews about Windows Defender on Yahoo Answers community too.

So I do not trust that as much. Also this software is still in BETA - I tell you what that means in a moment - for now just leave your ass on the chair and keep reading :)

Like all anti spyware software you should scan at least once a month. Depending on the time you spent online. If you are online daily, for long hours and you download a ton of stuff then scan two times a month. Assuming you download a lot of stuff - not just surf.

If surfing all you do regularly or not just scan once a month.

Windows Defender is still in BETA. It means they are still working on the software - testing it and tweaking it. It is not yet 100% fully functional software. That means more errors may occur. Companies release their software even though they are still under development so they test them. Their customers are the people that do the testing for them.

Then when customers start complaining (while others cry and despair in agony :) ) or receive errors they use that info to improve the software. Sort of using people as free testers. You might not like that. For me it is the same. What I do not like is that software in BETA are not 100% ready. They cannot be compared to a ready made software. So they most often produce more errors.

Windows Vista is also in BETA. Rest assured many people that buy it will complain. That is why most experienced people wait until the product is out of BETA before they buy it. So they buy the full product that is 100% error free - not in testing process. You are helping the company when you buy something in BETA. As long as that is OK with you - you have all rights to do so :)

It is a risk.
