Folks that is an old method to get your site or blog indexed in Yahoo. This one no longer works as it once used to.
There is an easier method.
To get indexed the search engine spiders have to see your website on some other sites. If they see that SITE A, B and C link to you then you will probably get indexed. The more people linking to you the faster your site will get indexed.
The blog and ping technique used to work for same reason.
My recommended method:
Create ONE article. Use the below free services to submit it to multiple article directories. What will happen? These search engine spiders will notice your website or blog listed on several article directory websites and so they will visit your site and index it.

One article is enough just to get your site indexed in Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines.

Take a look at the article. Can you see that there are 2 sentences of opening. Then there is a list from 1 to 7 and another 2 – 4 sentences of closing.
That is they way you should write your article. See how easy it is? Simple start by writing 2 sentences about your business. Then mention 7 tips about something. Finally end with a summary of what you just said in 2-4 sentences.
Come up with 7 tips about ANYTHING… and title your article 7 Tips About XYZ.
I gave you link to that article, so it serves as a REAL example. Check out how many words that article has and make your own article more or less same number of words.
Where do you put your link?
When you submit you articles there will be an option so you can write a BIO. The BIO means something about yourself. Here is where you place one link – your website URL.
This is easy, when submitting your articles you will have free instructions on the submission page. You just read them once.

I do not know why people want their websites INDEXED so fast. Getting your website indexed is nothing special at all. If you plan to do Search Engine Optimization you should focus on getting links to your website. Doing so will ALSO NATURALLY get your website indexed. People have heard so many ‘things’ about getting site indexed that they think it is A MUST DO NOW.
Getting LINKS to your website is what is REALLY IMPORTANT.
Even though you get indexed, does not mean you will remain indexed. You SHOULD keep on getting new links if your website is a new site. Then you are OK.
