The most common type of scams. You should not worry about Nigerian scams, or any other type of scams if you have a good spam blocker, or you use Gmail.

Nigerian scams are popular cause they can also be dangerous. Like all other scams they may contain viruses. To stay safe ask this question: Do I know this person that is sending this email? If the answer is a NO, never open attachments. If it is a NO and email looks strange (or in some cases too good to be true like lottery scams) do not even reply.

There are certain type of scams, that are very similar to each other. They usually come from Nigeria so they called them Nigeria scams. Same with lottery scams. These are scams telling you: You just WON a lottery!
